EXCITE, Otago Polytechnic's annual student showcase, is an opportunity to see fresh thinking in action. Several hundred students and staff will be showing work from more than a dozen disciplines, and exhibitions include SITE from the School of Art and the Collections runway show. For the first time, EXCITE will also extend into the Polytechnic's Anzac Avenue campus, home to carpentry workshops, architectural draughting and civil engineering classes and the Polytechnic's horticultural centre. Several hundred students and staff will be showing work from more than a dozen disciplines, and exhibitions include SITE from the School of Art and the Collections runway show. For the first time, EXCITE will also extend into the Polytechnic's Anzac Avenue campus, home to carpentry workshops, architectural draughting and civil engineering classes and the Polytechnic's horticultural centre.A highlight of the 'L Block' exhibitions is certain to be the auction of a three bedroom house built by construction students and fitted out by local business at 2pm on Saturday November 17. Bidding begins at $80,000 and all proceeds go to charity.

This year's showcase kicks off on Thursday November 15 and disciplines have varying opening hours throughout the following week.
