On Tuesday 13th September 2005, starting at 12, there will be three photographers speaking about their work in the current exhibition at Matakana Pictures: "Show Number 9".

On Tuesday 13th September 2005, starting at 12, there will be three photographers speaking about their work in the current exhibition at Matakana Pictures: "Show Number 9".

Abby Storey is a photographer actively documenting aspects of contemporary culture in New Zealand. She is currently working on a project photographing refugees and is two years into an ongoing documentation of urban street culture in Auckland, part of which was exhibited in the recent Auckland Festival of Photography.

Based in a funky Auckland warehouse, Jocelyn Carlin works on documentary and exhibition projects, as well as illustrative, advertising, corporate and industrial assignments. She has travelled the world with her photography, published a book of her images of New Zealand, entitled "Beach", and continues to add to her prolific archive of images.

Paul Hartigan is well known to New Zealand audiences for the exuberant prints, paintings, digital images and neon installations that he has been creating for the last thirty years. Pauls' methods are varied as are his mediums. He researches and produces his work from his studio in Grey Lynn for exhibition, as well as private and public commissions.
