Cantabrians turned out in record numbers to the 2013 SCIRT World Busker’s Festival. Statistics tallied at the conclusion of the festival highlight the success of the 11 day event.

"After 11 fabulous days of hilarity provided by our incredible performers, it’s rewarding to see the final numbers come in highlighting the success of the 2013 SCIRT World Buskers Festival which reached an estimated 330,000 people", says Festival Manager Leyton Tremain.

Five days after the closing of the SCIRT World Busker’s Festival, teams are still working on taking down Busker Park. After spending 15 days setting it up, a large number of Cantabrians turned out in support of the 620 shows in 7 locations across the city.

Other 2013 SCIRT World Busker’s Festival statistics include:

  • 4600 Bottles of L&P consumed
  • 312 Stem Roses used in Burlesque Shows
  • 72kg of costumes for Le Gateau Chocolat
  • 3200 Faces painted at the Tip Top Kids pitch
  • 131 Le Tigre Bleu Performances
  • 7 Stages in Busker Park
