Just the other day a young sculpture student came to see me to discuss her latest project. Concerned with issues of location and identity, her work involves taking soil core samples from her family land, land she has grown up on.
A W Reed's classic Treasury of Maori Folklore has been overhauled. Among the new, important revisions is the removal of Christian overlay and the restoration of Maori rituals, Maori seasons.
