As part of Waitakere City’s Open Studio Weekend, the Corban Estate Arts Centre presents a weekend of FREE arts activities. Twenty artists based in studios on site will open their studios to the public.  Some will have art for sale.

Three different art exhibitions will be showing: photographic works by Edith Atuamanai, ‘Neighbourhood’ - work by artists from the Corban Estate community, and the Waitakere Central Community Arts Council’s members’ exhibition.

You can try your hand at creating an artwork yourself at the free workshops happening throughout the weekend.  You may like to drop into the Pacifica Centre, watch the Pacifica Mamas weaving, and perhaps try some weaving yourself.  The Mamas will have some of their woven articles for sale.

To tempt your tastebuds there will be a café with fresh and flavourful food.  Fresh coffee will also be available.  Live music will be staged between 12 and 2pm each day; Trio CDM on Saturday, and Cat Tunks from Black Sand Diva, on Sunday.

Drop in, stroll around and join the buzz.

Saturday and Sunday, 27th and 28th of March.
