Sam and Susy live in a basement flat in Notting Hill. Sam has inadvertently smuggled drugs hidden inside a doll into the U.K. Two conmen have both received anonymous phonecalls tipping them off to be at this flat to make some easy money - retrieve the doll from the beautiful Susy, who is home alone and blind. But arch-villain Roat has other plans - as does Susy; who has adapted to her blindness with alacrity. Wait Until Dark brings terror and suspense to the stage in a thrilling new revival of this masterfully constructed stage play.

Wait Until Dark is the classic 1960's thriller - the film starred version starred Audrey Hepburn, who earned a Oscar Nomination for her portrayal of Susy. This play captures the high style and Henry Mancini soundscape of this delicious genre, so seldom enjoyed by theatre audiences, finally brought to the stage in Wellington City exclusively at Circa Theatre.

Director Peter Hambleton has drawn together an outstanding cast of Wellington's finest established and emerging actors to realize this highlight of the capital's theatrical year; a play that transports us back to the Swinging Sixties and a time where dramatists weren't afraid to leave their audiences on the edges of their seats with spine-chilling suspense!
