• Creative New Zealanders making it big everywhere - especially Lorde and Eleanor Catton
• Coursera - connecting millions of students with incredible range of learning programmes offered by stellar education institutions - and its all free
• Te Wharehou o Tuhoe - New Zealand's first Living Building challenge, its construction and story 

• Talent NZ - a new national project that honours Sir Paul Callaghan's mission to grow New Zealand as a place where talent wants to live

• Letting Space - which seeks to transform the relationship between artists, the public and their environments to enable social change - example TEZA

• Show Me Shorts - New Zealand's only Academy award accredited film festival, currently travelling the country
• New Zealand actors, musicians, media commentators and the Creative Freedom Foundation calling on the Government to make public what's in the TPPA - Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement - "We have a right to know"
• New Zealand On Air's commitment to funding for digital content creation and the creative projects coming from it. Kila Kokonut Krew's The Factory is a great example
• The web and all that it offers - we couldn't do what we do without it
• The inspiration, ideas and advice that The Big Idea's columnists and bloggers give to the creative community

• Our community, there's over 35,000 of you now, including our users, clients, contributors, readers, writers, sharers and watchers ...

• Our patrons, public funders / investors, sponsors, clients and customers - we simply wouldn't have survived this year without you - thank you
