Wallflowers they're not. With their muggers, flies and foetuses, Scottish designers Timorous Beasties are rocking the world of wallpaper design. Along with paisley designs made from germs, their range includes a French toile design that reveals on closer inspection a nightmarish vision of the city, teeming with drug addicts and prostitutes. Business is booming however: turnover in 2000 was around £180,000; in 2006, it was closer to £1.35m. Read their interview in The Guardian here.
