Court Theatre, Bernard Street, Addington, Christchurch - THE ELVES AND THE SHOEMAKER: Purposeful energy and humour has wide audience appeal
- reviewed by Lindsay Clark
Finding the magic bridge between well loved old tales and appropriately cool stuff for today is always a challenge. BATS, Wellington - LONELY HEART - THE MUSICAL: Potent cautionary tale deserves healthy life on the Festival circuit
- reviewed by John Smythe
A darkly comic and salutary story of deprivation and desperation gone very bad indeed, it is superbly scored, told and sung by a talented cast of just five to a one-man band –Williams himself – and directed by Jeff Kingsford-Brown.
