This is typical of the enthusiastic reviewers' response generated by the brilliant performances of the The Laughing Samoans comedy duo of Eteuati Ete and Tofiga Fepulea'i. These two first teamed up last year at the New Zealand Fringe Festival where their show Laughing With Samoans sold out and then went on a triumphant tour of the North Island.
The Small Samoan Wedding, their latest offering, premiered at Auckland Girls Grammar last month where more than twelve hundred people saw it over two nights. The second half of their season at the Memorial Theatre, Victoria University, quickly sold out forcing them to bring it back one more time.
A video featuring highlights of the duos first show Laughing With Samoans has become a best seller amongst the Samoan and Pacific Island communities throughout the globe. In fact even the most famous Samoan of all, the world professional wrestling champion and film action-man The Rock (aka Dwayne Johnson) is a fan.
