While visiting an old friend in Wellington Alan contracts a disease that seems to turn him into the neurotic comedian and film maker Woody Allen.To a backdrop of smoky jazz music, romance, betrayal and a particularly strange
quarter-life crisis, the stage is set for a hip young comedy with all the trademarks of this award winning company.

Theatre Pataphysical is one of New Zealand's most exciting young theatre companies. The group formed in 2003 and has thus far brought you "After Kafka" and "Action", both productions receiving outstanding critical response.

This show premiered at FringeNZ 2003 (also directed by the current director, Ryan Hartigan). Written by BBC World Service Playwriting Award winner Philip Braithwaite, "The Ghost of Woody Allen" went on to win the Appetite for Production Award (Creative NZ/Young and Hungry Youth Arts Trust), for its writer/director team.
