The Stars of Fringe NZ 2004 - Award Winners Announced!

The Fringe NZ Awards Show was the grand finale of a month's worth of Fringe madness and creative mayhem. It was an opportunity to celebrate and recognise the people and shows that stood out both on-stage and behind the scenes throughout the festival. The artistic glitterati of Wellington gathered en masse at Reading Cinema, Courtenay Place to applaud and celebrate the very Best of the Fest for Fringe NZ 2004.

The Fringe NZ Awards Show was the grand finale of a month's worth of Fringe madness and creative mayhem. It was an opportunity to celebrate and recognise the people and shows that stood out both on-stage and behind the scenes throughout the festival. The artistic glitterati of Wellington gathered en masse at Reading Cinema, Courtenay Place to applaud and celebrate the very Best of the Fest for Fringe NZ 2004.

"The Awards Show tonight was a lot of fun and has ended the festival in true Fringe style. There has been an amazing variety of new works of an exceptionally high standard this year and it is important that these works are recognised. Shows that take risks and push creative boundaries, which is what Fringe NZ is all about", said Mark Cubey, Fringe Arts Trust Co-Chairperson. "The stars of Fringe NZ have amazing creative futures ahead of them - it's definitely a case of 'watch this space'!"
