It's time to learn new tricks from an old Dog! You won't be able to stay in your seat for long this April Holidays at Capital E, with the world premiere of the National Theatre for Children's production Tale of a Dog. Meet Dog: our much-loved, excitable circus performer! Dog is eager to wow his audience with inspired new tricks, much to the vexation of the ill-tempered Ring Master who is determined to keep Dog on a short leash.Be mesmerised as Dog faces challenges - some even trickier than tight-rope walking - that teach him to always shoot for the moon! From the creators of the ever popular PAPER SHAPER and BOXES comes this delightful new circus-inspired production drawing on the skills of Circus Oz's Deborah Pope and directed by Capital E National Theatre for Children Artistic Director, Peter Wilson. Featuring Thomas La Hood as Dog and Angela Green as the Ring Master, Tale of a Dog is a tail-wagging, toe-tapping tale of triumph over adversity that is bound to leave you begging for more. This production is suitable for all ages. Then after the show head upstairs to the Capital E Playground to Shake Your Tail and your bones, after all that sitting down! Inspired by the music from the show, this 30 minute, fun movement workshop for young people is led by drama and movement teacher and actor, Anna Burns.
