Driven by soul searching vocals, Tahuna Breaks' unique combination of funk fuelled grooves, reggae and just a hint of drum n' bass has seen them become a popular favourite on dance floors across New Zealand.

Having formed in January of 2005, the Auckland-based band has an ever-growing fanbase. After nearly three years of pumping out countless sweaty and energetic live shows throughout the country supporting heavy weights such as Fat Freddy's Drop, Concord Dawn and Sola Rosa, the band released their debut album 'Reflections through Rhythmethod on 17 October 2007.

The past year has been a busy one for Tahuna Breaks. Their album debuted at #3 in the independent charts and now 6 months after release, it still remains firmly in the top 20. They have had 3 successful singles 'Voodoo', 'Casually Acquainted' and 'Real Life' and are now traveling the country to promote their new single 'Reflections'. They have also played the Juice TV Awards, Rhythm & Vines pre-party, Soundsplash 08, and have been a favourite at various outdoor concerts over summer.

When it's all said and done, the band take pride in their live performance with the aim of providing the audience with a most memorable experience that in its diversity, sparks something in everyone.
