Wellington artists are turning music into medicine at the Town Hall on 10 November.

Join Super Session hosts The Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra (pictured) for a night of mad musical talent from The Recloose Live Band, The Scribes of Ra, Good Laika and guests to support two worthy causes: SurfAid International and the Wellington Free Ambulance.The SuperSession began in 2005 as a response to the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami. Not content that such a response be an exception, this is the third year that Wellington's creative music community have gathered in our beautiful Town Hall to offer our best for others in need.

Just as the first year combined to benefit the New Zealand Red Cross, this year the organisers have invited local agency the Wellington Free Ambulance to benefit.

SurfAid International is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to educating and empowering people in remote communities. Focused on the Mentawai Islands, off the coast of Sumatra, Indonesia, SurfAid was established by NZ's own Dr Dave Jenkins. SurfAid is best known for its role in assisting after the South Asia Tsunami - but to surfers, and others, it's known for its record-breaking and effective public health programmes, which are assisting the Mentawai people back to health and wellbeing.
