4. SRT was designed to be "mildly kinesthetic". In case you have never seen it move each pod can move around 500mm in strong wind. It would be unwise though to clog the motorway in a cyclone so as to watch it move.

5. It was designed by architect Rod Slater.

6. The official press release says, "Hopefully, it will help people to enjoy the Christmas spirit throughout the year." Hmm.

7. According to Transit New Zealand local iwi were consulted.
