SPARK - a week-long celebration of creativity - will be firing up in August, bringing artists, filmmakers, musicians, authors, photographers, designers and media personalities from the four corners of the globe to share their worlds with Hamilton.

The festival offers a series of talks, workshops, exhibitions and screenings designed to stimulate ideas and nourish the mind, concentrating on issues facing the creative industries. The festival offers a series of talks, workshops, exhibitions and screenings designed to stimulate ideas and nourish the mind, concentrating on issues facing the creative industries.While SPARK is hosted by Wintec, it's not just for students. Events are open to the public, and at no charge but are on a first in first served basis.

A diverse range of speakers, film screenings and exhibitions make up this year's programme, including New York music journalist and author Daphne Carr, Brazilian painter Lucia Koch and digital storyteller Joe Lambert from San Francisco.
