Legendary Shona Laing returns to West Auckland for two performances only. Friday night has sold out leaving Saturday May 3 as the last opportunity to see this acclaimed musician.

Flax Cafe at Kiwi Valley is the venue for this special event on the 2nd- 3rd May.As home of the monthly West Auckland Music Showcase the Flax Cafe staff are well practiced at moving to the beat whilst they work.

Charlotte Johansen organizer and supporting artist says she is excited about hearing Shona's material from her album "Pass the whisper" released in 2007 particularly a song called Waitakere Rain.

Musician Daniel Munro will also be supporting Shona for both evenings. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased from Flax Cafe and sponsors Go West Music 18 Catherine St Henderson.

The Flax cafe staff are creating a special menu for the evening which manager Tina Klay says will complement the music.
