Shapeshifter are returning to their home town of Christchurch on the back of their international tour to deliver their signature live blend of drum & bass, electro, jazz and soul at Sounday.

A collection of live performers will play at North Hagley Park this Sunday including Ladi6, Tiki, Connan and the Mockasins, Pig Out, The Mixtape Connection with Ed Muzik hosted by MC Sticky Fingaz and the $mix Crew.Shapeshifter were awarded best Dance album at the 2007 New Zealand Music Awards, their third album Soulstice has achieved platinum sales and their video "Electric Dream" won best electronic video at the 2007 Juice TV awards.
Their first live album Shapeshifter Live had another national New Zealand sell out tour. Across the Tasman, Shapeshifter's success continues to grow. They returned to Australia for their third tour of the year to be a headline act at Australia's renowned Parklife Festival tour. Their Soulstice album sold out of it's first pressing in the first week of being on sale.
Shapeshifter have just completed an European and United Kingdom tour with two sold out London shows, a sold out Amsterdam show, receiving rave reviews and performing to frenzied crowds in Ireland, Scotland and Spain. Shapeshifter will be writing their fourth studio album this year.
Ladi6
Also with her roots in Christchurch, Ladi6 (Karoline Tamati) is the soulful voice behind the hit 'When I return' (Shapeshifter). One of New Zealand's premiere female vocalists, Ladi6 has worked on some of the most memorable kiwi tracks of late, with our country's top music-makers including Fat Freddys Drop, Scribe, 50hz and of course, Shapeshifter. Keep your ears peeled for Ladi6's debut album, out in January.

Connan and the Mockasins

The Mixtape Connection with Ed Musik
Christchurch-bred indie-electro explosion The Mixtape Connection return from tearing Melbourne's party scene to pieces. Indie, electro, eclectic and cool, this fashionista will drop the sweet tracks while Ed Musik makes his move on the mic.
Ed Musik is a mainstay of Christchurch's indie-electro scene. The self-proclaimed mobile disco has performed with many of our country's brightest talents, including The Shocking Pinks, Frase and Bri, Charlie Ash and the 2007 Dux de Lux RounDUp winners Bang! Bang! Eche! Come in early to hear what Ed and the Mixtape connection team decide to begin the day with!
