2012 sees the eighth installment of the conference in NZ, on May 18 to 19, after touring Sydney, Melbourne, Dubai and Singapore, as well as satellite conferences in New York and London.
Semi-Permanent was born from a desire to unite the world's design communities with a premium creative experience by the creatives for the creatives. The event covers all disciplines of design, including graphic design, film, fine art, illustration, web design, interaction design, photography, visual effects, animation, graffiti, motion graphics, stop motion, and architecture, and much more.
Semi-Permanent speaks directly to the individual. It is a forum that welcomes all people with a mind open to creative ideas and the wide world of design. Attendees include Creative Directors Design Directors, designers, artists, photographers, digital creatives company leaders, agency personnel, product and fashion designers and pretty much anyone who operates as a creative.

Libertiny was born in Slovakia in 1979. In 1999, he enrolled in the Industrial Design Department at the Technical University in Slovakia. In 2001, he was awarded George Soros’s Open Society Institute Scholarship to study at The University of Washington in Seattle, where he explored painting and sculpture. Shortly afterwards, he continued his study at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava in painting and conceptual design. His art works have recently been acquired by the Museum of Modern Art in New York, Museum Boijmans van Beuningen and Cincinatti Art Museum.

Stefano De Luigi is a familiar contributor to many international magazines including Stern, Paris Match, Le Monde Magazine, Time, and The New Yorker, although he is probably best known for his long term projects, which include “Pornoland” (winner of the Marco Bastianelli Prize in 2005) and “Blanco,” visions of blindness, published by Trolley in 2010. De Luigi has also won the World Press Photo three times in different categories (1998, 2007, 2009), the Moving Walls of Soros Foundation in 2009 and Days Japan International photojournalism Award 2010.
