Vincent Ward's 19th century New Zealand epic, River Queen, has been selected to screen in competition at the 9th Shanghai International Film Festival this month. The Festival runs from June 17th - 25th and has become one of the most significant film events in Asia.

RIVER QUEEN is a collaboration between Silverscreen Films in New Zealand and the Film Consortium in London - produced by the two principals, Don Reynolds and Chris Auty, and executive produced by Geoff Dixon, Neil Peplow, James D Stern, Eric Watson and Mark Hotchin. Co-producers are Tainui Stephens and Richard Fletcher.

Richard Fletcher and Laurian Dixon from Silverscreen Films will travel to Shanghai as guests of the Festival.
