It is unfortunate that we live in a culture with a long standing political tradition of divide and rule which was setup well before colonial times (perhaps it was refined and further perfected during this time), and this is often a legacy which goes unquestioned as if it were a 'default setting'. It is unfortunate that we live in a culture with a long standing political tradition of divide and rule which was setup well before colonial times (perhaps it was refined and further perfected during this time), and this is often a legacy which goes unquestioned as if it were a 'default setting'. There are historic agreements in place between Maori and the Crown (British Monarch) which have been forgotten either deliberately or otherwise. Ignorance of these facts has led to many actions and policies which could easily be considered as insulting to Maori.

On behalf of Amato Akarana - Rewi (aka Dan Davis, Ngati Whatua) a High Chief of the Confederation of Tribes (1853) we have prepared a secure digital survey as a response to this challenge from the Prime Minister.

We are excited to support a public dialogue using this unique tool. We know this tool can be refined (with informed communal input) to facilitate a process of dialogue/consultation which can offer significant benefits to all citizens of Aotearoa.
