This performance, The Revelation of Matter into its Constituents - Noise and Chaos, will be the first in a series of increasingly scaled audio-demolition works presented by The Artbruit Institute.Identity protection as well as personal safety devices will be available on 15 December in Hamilton, when the Artbruit Building Redevelopment Project begins with a once-only destruction action at Ariki Gallery.
This performance, The Revelation of Matter into its Constituents - Noise and Chaos, will be the first in a series of increasingly scaled audio-demolition works presented by The Artbruit Institute.The event will be recorded, and the footage compiled into a multi-angle DVD document.
The gallery space will be open from 10am to 6pm during the weeks prior to the event. Surveillance of the project space is viewable online at www.artbruit.com and linked from the gallery website at www.arikigallery.com.
A printed document will be released on 15 December that presents the long-term project plan.
