The Physics Room Gallery is pleased to welcome Melanie Oliver as their new director.
Oliver brings a wealth of curating experience to The Physics Room having held recent posts as Assistant Curator at both Artspace Sydney (2011) and the Govett Brewster Art Gallery in New Plymouth (2007 – 2009).
In addition Oliver has worked independently as a writer and curator, developing projects such as Social Interface at Ramp Gallery (2012), Justene Williams and Sean Grattan, St Paul St Gallery (2012) and most recently has co-curated a project with Laura Preston for the 2012 Liverpool Biennial.
Oliver will be developing The Physics Room exhibition programme from its current site at Sandyford Street in Sydenham, and will head up the exciting re-launch of the Gallery’s refurbished Tuam Street exhibition space in late 2012.
