Some of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's more fascinating letters will be the focus of a dramatized musical performance at Highwic, the Historic Places Trust property in Newmarket this month. Mozart, Music and Letters is an exciting production that will bring some of Mozart's letters to life interspersed with some of his music performed by four of New Zealand's leading performers. Greg McGarity will be joined by Elena Abramova (violin), Tim Emerson (piano) and actor Michael Burton, who will play the lead role of Mozart.Some of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's more fascinating letters will be the focus of a dramatized musical performance at Highwic, the Historic Places Trust property in Newmarket this month. Greg McGarity will be joined by Elena Abramova (violin), Tim Emerson (piano) and actor Michael Burton, who will play the lead role of Mozart."The tribute to Mozart is the culmination of several years of familiarization with Mozart's life-works and promises to be a highlight in the Auckland Music-Theatre and Concert Calendars," says McGarity who will play the violin and viola, and who will also perform the role of Mozart's student, friend and colleague, Sussmayer.

"Mozart's letters offer fascinating insights into the life and times of one of the most brilliant composers the world has known, and this show really brings to life some of his most memorable music," says Greg.
