Sharing its title with another independent Japanese movie (executive produced by Ken Watanabe of Batman Begins and The Last Samurai fame) is one of the pleasent coincidences which makes Amit Tripuraneni and Lance Wordsworth, the makers of Memories of Tomorrow smile. Sharing its title with another independent Japanese movie (executive produced by Ken Watanabe of Batman Begins and The Last Samurai fame) is one of the pleasent coincidences which makes Amit Tripuraneni and Lance Wordsworth, the makers of Memories of Tomorrow smile.Their version of the movie, made for a budget of NZ$15,000, ended up screening at 7 film festivals and winning 3 awards across the world and found a US Distributor in York Entertainment with Arkles Entertainment, who are distributing it in NZ/Australia.

Rialto cinemas has selected the movie to be part of the NZ Film Festival season. Lisa Franklin, marketing manager for Rialto, says, "We really liked what Amit and his team were able to achieve with their limited resources and the movie excels on so many different levels. We think it is a great addition to our NZ line up."

Amit says, "The initiative taken by Rialto is fantastic as it gives opportunity for local film makers like us to share our movie with a bigger audience - which is every film maker's dream. We are thrilled to be part of such an initiative and hope that people will support the local movies being screened."

Memories of Tomorrow opens up for a 2 week theatrical run at Rialto ,Newmarket in Auckland from March 9-22.
