Creative Tangata Productions in partnership with Manukau Arts is proud to present a unique selection of films as part of the Manukau Film Festival '08.

Manukau's first-ever film festival will focus on Manukau, its people, stories and its history and features an assortment of new film, video, animation and moving image work by emerging and established film-makers. Manukau's first-ever film festival will focus on Manukau, its people, stories and its history and features an assortment of new film, video, animation and moving image work by emerging and established film-makers.Creative Director Leilani Kake says it's a great chance for people to come along and be entertained and inspired. "I really wanted to start this film festival to share my love of film with other people," she said.

All the films have been specially selected by Ms Kake.

Films will be screened at the historic Metro Theatre (Mangere East Hall) and awards will be given for the best film in the Fresh New Talent and Made in Manukau categories. The audience can also cast their vote for the People's Choice award!
