Mansu Taetak Kut: Korean Shaman Performance
A performance of a Korean Shaman ritual from the Mansudaet'ak Preservation Group. The shamans will perform traditional music and dance, but also trance, comical interludes and acrobatics!The group's performances are aimed at comforting and placating unhappy spirits, enabling them to depart from this world and enter the next dimension in peace. Last year they performed in New York on the second anniversary of the World Trade Center attacks.

Where film and cinema become the explored subject. This includes films about film in New Zealand, from early silent history, to John O'Shea, to the making of Sleeping Dogs, to the work of Peter Jackson.
Includes a special accompaniment by pianist Tama Karena.
