The 4th Annual Music Managers Awards happened on 28 October, and the top award - Manager of the Year - went to Nicky and Morgan Donoghue for managing Hollie Smith (pictured).

The award ceremony followed a day of informative seminars where panels of industry experts gave advice on a range of topics including digital income, music placement in TV, films and commercials, planning, promotional plans, marketing plans and media training. The award ceremony followed a day of informative seminars where panels of industry experts gave advice on a range of topics including digital income, music placement in TV, films and commercials, planning, promotional plans, marketing plans and media training.The winners received prize packs made up of airtime; free press, radio, internet or TV advertisements; audio equipment vouchers and magazine subscriptions.

Upcoming Manager of the Year (Auckland) was won by Kathy Crawshaw for SJD and David Kilgour, while Upcoming Manager of the Year (Regional) was awarded to Ayesha Kee for 4 Corners. Special Achievement Awards went to Veronica Herber for dDub and JP Winger for Miriam Clancy, and the Industry Champion Award went to CHART (Christchurch Music Industry Trust).

MMF members were also able to personally pitch their bands to Barry Blackler from the Big Day Out.
