Big changes are coming to make The Big Idea even better - we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to bring you a new refreshed website on an updated and modern platform.
It’s the latest development for The Big Idea, after 15 years of backing creative people, organisations and businesses to showcase their talent, innovation and projects.
In that time you’ve shared more than 25,000 jobs and events, thousands of media releases and 7000 images of your creative work in Show. We’ve told 11,000 stories about the creative sector with news, interviews, articles and columns.
The Big Idea now boasts 50,000 members and we serve up nearly 3 million page-views every year.
So what’s changing?
We will be relaunching the site in the near future, on a new and upgraded platform.
The first thing you’ll notice when we relaunch is a fresh new design, which is mobile-friendly so you can get to the best content wherever you are.
We are streamlining the site to focus on what you want to see and the things you want to do. We’re improving our listings so it’s easier to add and find your opportunities and events.
We will continue to profile success in our sector with interviews and provide tips and tools to help your creative career or enterprise.
This also means that we’re letting go of some parts of the site that you no longer use, so you can find your way around more easily.
What does this mean?
Your important content - your account profile, your jobs, events and media releases - will be available on the new site.
In preparation for the move, we have closed off the areas that won’t exist on the new site. Your content in those sections will be available to view until the re-launch. You can edit or delete any of your own content in that time, but you will not be able to add new content to those areas.
Those areas of the site will be clearly marked, and you can see the full list of what will and won’t be migrated to the new site.
We’re excited about the new opportunities the relaunched website will bring. Watch this space!
