6pm, Friday, 14th NovemberMagazinean arts 'journal' loaded with arts, fire and boodle, is to be edited by Raewyn Alexander, novelist, poet, non-fiction writer, with assistant editor Olwyn Stewart, and design consultant Bain Duigan.

Readings from the writers at the launch include Jill Chan, Owen Bullock, Catherine Mair, Janet Charman, Richard Taylor, Jack Ross, Olivia Macassey, David Lyndon Brown, Olwyn Stewart, Cornelius Stone, Vivienne Plumb, Jacqueline Crompton Ottoway, Lee Dowrick, Shane Hollands and many more.

Magazine also includes poetry from Julie Puia, Hallvard Viken ( Norway), Lee Dowrick, stories from Amy Muldoon (USA), an interview with playwright and director Patrick Graham, reviews too, along with visual art by Barry Linton, Cornelius Stone and others.

UNITEC School of Communication supports this venture along with Nostromo Books in Grey Lynn, Janet Thomson (accountant), Campus Copy Centre and others.

It is vital for many writers and artists to show their work widely, provoking discussion. A periodical allows that to happen. Magazine will be sent all over New Zealand and some copies are being sent overseas.
