A collection of love poems by Meliors Simms written in chalk on footpaths and other concrete surfaces will provide an intimate and interactive experience for the viewer. The poems encompass a spectrum of romantic feelings and experiences, offering a little optimism about love in a cynical world. Christchurch artist Marc Barnes will also be using chalk to create images on the footpaths. He describes Pavement Art as a 10 year passion that has lead him to create art on the footpaths of Europe. Make sure you check out these incredible images that look as though they're almost popping out from the ground.

Hamilton artists The Underwater Collective will also be adding to the chalk art gallery.
