An initiative of the Arts Regional Trust Te Taumata Toi-a-iwi (ART) in partnership with The Big Idea - Te Aria Nui, Survive & Thrive is a public forum, expo and series of workshops for people working in the creative sector.
Our 2012 event begins with the topic on everyone's mind "We need to talk about the future”.
To set the scene we asked some of our speakers how creatives can future proof and contribute to finding sustainable solutions to the big challenges we all face.
Marianne Doczi | Future thinker and commentator
“The creative sector is all about inventing what’s not there yet, making it real and helping people understand. Reach them in ways that are beyond the pure intellect. Imagination and accessibility of vision, is what the creative sector brings."
Rebecca Mills | Sustainability Strategist
“Sustainability is going to be the biggest driver of innovation and creativity that we see in the 21st century.”
Nick Gerritsen | Catalyst and Entrepreneur
“The fact that we have unique talent, derived from our unique creativity, is really where our competitive advantage sits.”
