It’s tempting when times get tough to bury your head in the sand and hope for the best. So can Kiwi creatives afford to do that, or will they go the way of the moa? That’s the challenge presented at this year’s Survive & Thrive: Fuelling the Business of Creativity, in Auckland on July 14.

#SurviveThrive: Keep up-to-date with the creative action at Survive & Thrive via this live twitter feed.

Held at The University of Auckland Business School, and now in its third year, Survive & Thrive 2011 includes a programme of inspiring speakers, intensive workshops and networking, and is all about helping creative, entrepreneurial people succeed.

As MC, and rather a creative guy himself, Te Radar says “The mixing of creativity and business to make a creative business is more complex than simply hoping she’ll be right. Sometimes she isn’t. ”

Survive & Thrive is an initiative of the Arts Regional Trust Te Taumata Toi-a-iwi (ART) in partnership with The Big Idea.
