In the latest funding round a third season of The Almighty Johnsons has been supported for TV3 and 7 Days gets the green-light to return to the channel in 2013.

Other firm favourites making a comeback are the documentary series First Crossings for TV One, Polyfest 2013 for TV2, and Anzac Day commemorative programmes for both TV One and Maori TV.

New programming includes a satirical series showcasing the country's top comedic talent, The Best Bits, which has been funded for TV One.

A new documentary series, The Works, taking an insider's look at one of the country's oldest meat processing plants, has been funded for Prime.
