Eagle vs Shark has soared straight to No 4 at New Zealand's box office since opening a week ago. The film, co-written and directed by Wellington filmmaker Taika Waititi, grossed $163,600 in New Zealand at the weekend from being shown on 27 screens nationwide. In Britain, where it opened last Friday, it went in at No 15, making $136,000 from being shown on 70 screens.
