Wellington fashion design students who dream of someday dressing the ‘A-list’ will have a chance to ask how it’s done when top New Zealand designer Karen Walker shares some of the secrets of her international success at Massey University Wellington on Friday May 15.
Karen Walker is the winner of this year’s Creative Industries Award at the World Class NZ Awards, sponsored by Wellington City Council. As part of the award, she has generously agreed to give some of her time to the next generation of designers in Wellington.
Ms Walker will be visiting Massey College of Creative Arts on Friday 15 May to answer questions from up to 200 students. The ‘Ask Karen’ session will be followed by refreshments in the Tea Gardens.
Karen Walker collections are stocked in over 350 stores throughout the world in cities including New York, London, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Sydney and Tokyo.

‘Ask Karen’ takes place on Friday 15 May, 11.30am in Theatrette 10A02, College of Creative Arts, Old Museum Building, Buckle Street. The photo/opportunity will take place in the 3rd floor west foyer gallery at about 1.30pm.
