The University of Auckland is presenting a preview performance of a brand new show, Scrapyard Cabaret, featuring Karen Hunter on March 20^th 2010.

Pulling stories from her last two albums; Rubble (2007) & Words&Groove (2010), performance artist Hunter sings, plays, speaks and scats her way through original music, embellishing stories and bridging the gap between the dangerous and the mundane.

The legendary television studio known as ‘Studio One’ of the Shortland St Kenneth Myers Centre will be the venue for this preview performance. The University of Auckland uses this building now to host several Music and Dance programmes.

Scrapyard Cabaret features the following musical collaborators:
