In her new exhibition, two remarkable large paintings vie for attention. flotilla, a luminescent West Coast scene, combines the rare sight of swans at sea with a dramatic entanglement of bleached driftwood and black sand. In Upokongaro two horses appear almost miniature among glowing stands of cabbage trees.

Janet Green is an ex-conservator, once responsible for the care of the Greek vases in The British Museum. Her large scale new ceramic heads envisage a fantastic meeting of classical, domestic and Buddhist ceramic traditions. In place of the traditional top knots atop more conventional Buddhas, these heads sprout teapots and a beehive.
