Imagining Ourselves
Our Vision:
Above all, Imagining Ourselves aims to give a powerful voice to a new generation of young adult women: a generation of women in early stages of making their mark on the world, just embarking on their careers, just beginning to create families and relationships which enrich their lives.
We aim to give these women a chance to powerfully express themselves, a chance to define the themes relevant to their lives in a positive, personal, and articulate manner, and to start a dialogue with the generations which preceded them. By bringing diverse perspectives into one cohesive book, we aim to build linkages which cut across the cleavages of geography, economy, and ethnicity. In short, we aim to empower these young women to imagine themselves and their world - so that they can then create a reality which reflects this vision.
