NZSA Lilian Ida Smith Award - This biennial award provides the successful applicant with a grant of $3000 to assist them towards the completion of a specific project. The award is open to writers of non-fiction, fiction, poetry and drama for adults and children.

Auckland Museum Research Grants - The New Zealand Society of Authors in association with the Auckland Museum are delighted to be offering three new financial grants to provide assistance to writers wishing to undertake research for a writing project.

Aspiring Art Prize - The aim of Aspiring Art Prize is to foster and encourage artists living and working in the South Island of New Zealand. The winning prize of $5000 is proudly sponsored by Craigs Investment Partners. In addition there are a number of merit prizes sponsored by the local community.

6th International Arte Laguna Prize - Arte Laguna and the Italian cultural association MoCA (Modern Contemporary Art) are working together since 2006 on promoting contemporary visual Art. Main result of this collaboration is the International Art Prize Arte Laguna.

Buddle Findlay Sargeson Fellowship 2012 - This is a national literary fellowship offered annually in partnership with The Frank Sargeson Trust. The fellowship provides the opportunity each year for an outstanding published New Zealand writer to write full-time in residence at the Sargeson Centre, adjacent to the University of Auckland, with an annual stipend of NZ$40,000.
