Just writing to let you know about "IKI and thanks for all the IKA" a pacific inspired New Zealand art exhibition. I originally curated it for the Contemporary Art Centre in Vilnius, Lithuania and it then travelled to the National Museum of the Cook Islands in Rarotonga and now comes back home to ARTSPACE. Originally there were 17 artists in the show, Ani O'Neil, Lisa Reihana, Ava Seymour, Filipe Tohi, Natalie Robertson, Jim Vivieaere, Reuben Paterson, Damon Fepuleai, Graham Fletcher, John Pule, Lonnie Hutchinson, Veronica Vaevae, Craig Fasi, Niki Hastings-McFall, Emi Tamua, Rohan Wealleans and Francise Upritchard.

For the ARTSPACE exhibition Kestutis Kuszinas, the director of the Contemporary Art Centre in Vilnius has added some art works from Lithuania. So we will have a truly multicultural exhibition. In case you wondering about the title. IKI is Lithuanian for good bye or so long and IKA is Maori for Fish. You might remember this as the title of the last part of Douglas Adams "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" trilogy - So long and thanks for all the fish.
