In their July/August issue, Idealog talks to local diva Hollie Smith, whose album Long Player debuted at number one in the New Zealand charts when it was released in May. Approached recently by iconic label Blue Note, the smart and sassy singer opted for their subsidiary, Manhattan, instead. "It was just one of those moments, where I immediately felt comfortable with the Manhattan crew," says Smith.
