NZ Hip Hop Limited, in association with 95bfm & The Edge, is proud to host the 2003 Aotearoa Hip Hop Summit at The Edge in Auckland on October 10th & 11th, 2003.With a widespread schedule of activities running throughout the Aotea Centre, Auckland Town Hall and Aotea Square, the two day event will see both international and national hip hop artists showcasing all areas of the movement - DJing, MCing, street & aerosol art, and breaking.
This year's summit boasts a staggering line-up of International Guests representing some of the finest in all realms of Hip Hop. Headliners are the legendary DJ Jazzy Jeff and, from the UK, turntablists The Mixologists, winners of the 1999 I.T.F. World Team Finals and both the 2000 & 2001 DMC UK Team Championships. The Disrupt The System outdoor panels, running over the course of both days this year, hosts international artists Can2, Bad Wow 123 and Atom alongside a selection of top local writers.
The 2003 Summit also boasts the strongest line-up of national hip hop musicians seen to date. Included throughout the programme will be appearances from some of the country's most respected artists including Mareko, Scribe, Ill Semantics, Deceptikonz, R.E.S., Word Perfect, 4 Corners, Frontline and many more.
