Happyzine was set up by Christchurch based Charlotte Squire after five years of freelance writing about positive environmental news for both New Zealand and overseas markets. She decided to create a source of 100 % positive media for New Zealand readers, thus providing a complementary balance to today's mainstream news.
"Imagine reading a news piece and feeling hopeful or even excited about your future, or your children's future. The media has a huge impact on the way we see the world. Happyzine is designed to help us face life with a spring in our step!" said Squire.
Coming up this year: Anika Moa shares her take on 'happiness', Tim Shadbolt speaks out about 'enjoying the quiet moments', New Zealand's newest organic herbal tea company owner Golden Bay based Shanti Burgess talks about incorporating 'joy' with running a successful business and much, much more.
Happyzine will grow to encompass pod cast, text and video options, becoming a multi media source of inspiring and up lifting Kiwi flavoured stories.
