The Wellington Fringe Festival 05 is a mighty fabulist thing, tricky and labyrinthine it loops its way up and down, above and below the chaotic terrain of the fair and blustery capital city. Watery theatre and flooding at Freyberg Pool, night performances in the Karori Wildlife Sanctuary, photograms in St Michael's Church foyer, electronic symphonies at Newtown Community Centre, a fricnic in Frank Kitt's Park, yodelling talent quest in Helen Clark's office (ok maybe not that last thing) ... but it goes on and on and on...

The power of exorcising one's past through counselling is honestly portrayed in this story of a young Maori woman called Toni. While in prison in England for a drug offence, she is forced to deal with her addiction through her counsellor, Mrs Bottemly.
Snapshot
by Java Dance Company
Rural culture, Kodak moments and explosive physicality are captured in snapshots of dance by four emerging choreographers. Java Dance Company, creators of the sell out season of Espresso and Rush Hour, bring you another athletic dance show where every snapshot has a story.
An exhibition of solargraphs, taken with pin-hole cameras following the travel of the sun for two to three months in different locations around the world. Part of the doctorial thesis of Tarja Trygg of the School of Art and Design, Helsinki.
