Following on the heels of Pacific's Nesian Mystic success at this year's Apra Silver Scrolls Awards, the Festival of Kolors offers more Pacific-inspired artists in Hip Hop, R 'n' B, Blues, Rock, Gospel, Acapella along with the rest of Pacific art and culture.
Following on the heels of Pacific's Nesian Mystic success at this year's Apra Silver Scrolls Awards, the Festival of Kolors offers more Pacific-inspired artists in Hip Hop, R 'n' B, Blues, Rock, Gospel, Acapella along with the rest of Pacific art and culture.

Performances begin this Saturday 1 November at Otara Town Centre at 9am. The festival will run every Saturday morning from the 1st November to 20th December 2003.

Included in this Saturday's line up will be two seasoned performers, who are still at primary school - 9-year-old rhythm and blues singer Ashley Sua and 11-year-old James Ru, who won last year's Southside Coca Cola Gig.

"We've often been a place that many American music producers have come scouting for new talent", says Festival Director Noma Benioni, a former singer of support bands for the likes of international Irish band U2, blues legend BB King and reggae's Ziggy Marley.

"The world has heard a lot of music but the world has yet to hear the sounds here and it's just beginning. At the Festival, you'll hear it all and you never know who'll be listening".
