Crowded Elevator is the brain child of Carl Thompson, a man with the vision to create quality clothing that's unique. "I couldn't find any clothing I liked," says Thompson. "And I believed that there were other people out there who wanted quality Kiwi-made street wear with great designs, not just a t-shirt made in China with a picture slapped on it," he says. Launched in June 2007, the label had secured a fashion PR company, Australian sales rep and designed a range for established fashion house WORLD within 3 months. "Such rapid growth proved that there was a gap in the market for high quality locally-made styles with international flair," says Thompson. Designer: Carl Thompson

"Such rapid growth proved that there was a gap in the market for high quality locally-made styles with international flair," says Thompson.A brand new take on funky streetwear, Crowded Elevator is young, bright and full of energy. The collections started with distinctively cut tees with neon bright, eclectic graphics and catchy slogans in retro fonts, but now include hoodies, a wider range of fabrics and a selection of new style singlets. Eventually the label will expand into jeans, shorts, pants, dresses and skirts - all proving that the only place this label is going, is up!
