The exhibition, which runs from 16 August - 1 September at Wellington's Tinakori Gallery, focuses on printmaking and includes examples of linocuts, ultrachromes, screenprints, lithographs, woodcuts, etchings and aquatints.

This is an aspect of the show that most excites Director Marcia Page, who believes the Gallery has a significant part to play in encouraging and supporting people who are beginning a collection.

"It is enormously rewarding for them to be able to buy the work of an artist they admire, whose paintings or sculptures are still beyond their means. I feel it is important for us to assist them, in their role as future advocates of the arts," she says.
