Artstation's first exhibition for 2009 opens on Tuesday, 3 February and celebrates the tenth anniversary of the centre's glass casting art programme.

10 years of glass showcases the work of 67 artists who have all participated in the glass-casting course over the last decade. Artists in the show include Christine Cathie, Evelyn Dunsten, Robyn Irwin, Ainsley O'Connell and Jenny Smith. Artstation's first exhibition for 2009 opens on Tuesday, 3 February and celebrates the tenth anniversary of the centre's glass casting art programme.

10 years of glass showcases the work of 67 artists who have all participated in the glass-casting course over the last decade. Artists in the show include Christine Cathie, Evelyn Dunsten, Robyn Irwin, Ainsley O'Connell and Jenny Smith.A number of the exhibitors have developed the skills they learnt at Artstation and gone on to become professional practitioners whose work has received national and international acclaim.

Jo Nuttall, glass casting tutor and exhibition curator says, "The ongoing commitment and provision of classes and facilities at Artstation has increased public awareness and understanding of cast glass as a contemporary art form.

"As one of only two glass casting facilities open to the public in New Zealand, it has given people the opportunity to participate, has nurtured the medium and maintained a lively community of makers".

10 years of glass is showing at Artstation from Wednesday, 4 February until 21 February.
